REBECCA BIRCH
Using her fieldwork techniques of video, drawing and conversations with the public Rebecca Birch will attempt to document the social, ecological and cultural space of a single mountain (likely focus; Sulphur Mountain) in the National Park. The project will trace narratives of activity found across the mountain ranging from animals, people and natural histories. Ms. Birch would like to address the inter-relationship between human history and protected land. A multi-channel video work will be installed within a mountain of discarded televisions and juxtaposed with a series of drawings and texts.
