PERDITA PHILLIPS
!
Using geophones, DIY seismographs and existing seismographic recordings as starting points, Perdy will create a sound art walk for headphones based on the trials around Banff. As the project progresses she will include walking recordings and anecdotes created by other residency participants. The purpose of the project is to explore the tensions through locative media creating the sound of landscape in a constructed non-linear narrative experience. Her aim is to produce a sound art walk where the starting point is rocks and earthquakes and develops a narrative element in response to discussions during the Walking and Art thematic residency.
