KELLY LYCAN
Kelly Lycan would like to respond to the repetitive nature of walking during the thematic residency. She wishes to document the cadence of walking by collecting ephemera and creating videos in response to established territories such as trails, maps, floor plans, and thoughts. She is especially interested in walking though sites of consumption such as a store, museum and art galleries. Ms. Lycan is currently working on three walking videos that document an instance questioning the way in which a simple act can be transgressed into an event. Her projects take place through open ended and applied research that evolves into videos, photographs and sculptures.
